A dog’s digestive tract does not have the ability to break down vegetables as we do. The vegetables in our treats have been shredded to make pulp, therefore breaking down the cellulose coating to make sure they are completely digestable.

Carrots contain a wealth of vitamins such as b, c, d, e, and k. They also contain beta carotene which may help improve eyesight.

 

The sweet potato is one of the best vegetables for dogs. Dogs love them too. They are a great source of calcium, iron and fiber and they have lots of carbohydrates.

 

Apple contains calcium, vitamin k, vitamin c and pectin (soluble fibre), they add to a dogs skin and coat health by adding omega 3 and 6 fatty acids to there diet.

 

Pears are known to be good for dogs’ hearts. They contain vitamins c and k. They also contain nutrients such as copper which act as antioxidants and help protect the cells within your dog. Pears contain a lot of fibre, which can help their hearts because fibre is able to lower levels of bad cholesterol by binding to bile salts.

 

Celery is a wonderful vegetable that contains much calcium, phosphorus, sodium and sedanolide. Sedanolide has been shown to decrease the risks of tumors in test cases of pets.

 

Cucumber s are full of phytonutrients . These can kill bacteria in their mouth responsible for causing bad breath. They are also full of antioxidants and good source of b vitamins.  They have silica to promote joint health by strengthening connective tissues.

Vitamin B12's primary functions are in the formation of red blood cells and the maintenance of a healthy nervous system. It is necessary for the rapid synthesis of DNA during cell division, like in the bone marrow tissues responsible for red blood cell formation. If B12 deficiency occurs, this results in anemia, with tiredness and poor resistance to infection. B12 is also important in maintaining the nervous system.
